The Student Activities Office

The Student Activities Office is home to the Student Activities Board. This group of student volunteers plans, staffs, and runs many of the events and activities on campus. It is their job to provide a selection of cultural, social, informative, and recreational programs that reflect the diversity of the campus community. These events are funded by Student Activity Fees. The Student Activities Coordinator, Shirl Doherty, is Advisor to this extremely active, creative, and dedicated club.

The Student Activities Office is also responsible for Orientation Programs for New Students that take place before the start of the Fall and the Spring semesters.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Student Government Association, stop by for information on running for office. Elections are held in the spring for most SGA positions. The Freshman Senator is elected in the fall. The SGA periodically offers leadership training for interested students.

The SGA sponsors approximately 30 clubs and organizations on campus. For information on joining an existing club or starting a new one contact the Student Activities Office.

You can find the Student Activities Office on the first floor of the College Union Building. Telephone (518) 762-4651, extension 2403. Call for information on upcoming events.
