ALUMNI ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Patricia Battisti '86  -  Trish has worked at FMCC since 1992, and works as a Senior Library Clerk in FMCC's Evans Library. She continues to work on her A.A.S. in Office Management at the College. Trish and her husband, Rob, have a son, Robert, and a daughter, Rachel, who is a FMCC nursing student graduate. Trish enjoys crocheting and reading.

Charles "Skip" Beck '67 

Barbara (Opalka) Bilins '67  -  Barbara went on to earn both her bachelor's and master's from SUNY Albany. Because of her interest in law, Barbara later went on to obtain a paralegal degree. Currently, she is a retired high school business teacher who enjoys traveling and hiking. Barbara is a member of the Adirondack 46'ers which means she has climbed 46 of the highest peaks in the Adirondacks! Barbara has two daughters, Kim & Jennifer, and two granddaughters, Meya & Alexandria.

Helen (Opalka) Buanno '69  -  Since her graduation from FMCC, Helen earned her New York State Real Estate License. She is married to Joseph and they have have two daughters, Heather, who is an attorney, and Kristine, who is a social worker.

Ron Cetnar '69  -  Ron has worked at SUNY Albany for 33 years as Oracle Database Manager. He earned an Oracle Training Certificate and is a member of the Oracle Users Group. He also attended courses for NYS High School Coaching and is a High School Basketball Coach. Ron has two children, both graduates of FMCC and SUNY four-year institutes.

Joel Chapin '78  -  Joel earned a bachelor's from Skidmore College and a Master of Fine Arts from SUNY Albany. He is a Professor of Fine Arts at FMCC as well as a working artist. Joel and his wife, Linda, have four children: Sarah, Benjamin, Ian, and Lucas. Joel enjoys wood-working, gardening, and raising heritage breeds of livestock and poultry.

Angelo Finateri '66  Angelo went on to SUNY Oneonta and earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry.  He continued there for two more years to take grad courses and worked as a graduate teaching assistant.  He completed his master's degree at Union College.  Today Angelo provides professional water testing through his business, Fulmont Laboratory.  As a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) and of three other corvette chapters, he spends any free time preserving and restoring vintage corvettes from the 60's and also judges at chapter, regional, and national NCRS Meets.  He also enjoys alpine skiing and spending time with his family.  He is married to Phyllis and they have two children; Jonathan, 31 and Bethany, 26.

Tom Foster '95  -  Tom is an EDI Coordinator/Programmer Analyst who also owns his own company doing web design and maintenance. Tom and his wife, Kathy, have two daughters, Gillian and Shanna. Tom enjoys collecting history and memorabilia about Amsterdam and spends much of his free time volunteering for variuos non-profits.

Joanne Freeman '96 - Joanne says that if it weren't for everyone at FMCC, she would have never went on for a bachelor's degree from SUNY IT which she earned in 2006.  She originally came to FMCC to take two classes, typing and computers.  As of July 2005, Joanne oversees the marketing and public relations for A. Johnson Plumbing and Heating, Inc. in Gloversville.  Joanne is married to Allen and they have two children, William and Tammy.

Dennis Heaton '83  -  Dennis went on to earn his bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam. In 1998, Dennis opened his own business, Sunset Refuse where he currently is President/Owner/Operator. Dennis is married to Nancy and they have three children: Katie, Zachary, and Thomas.

Donna (Bellinger) Jablonski '66  -  Donna is employed at FMCC as Managerial/Confidential Secretary for the Vice President for Administration and Finance. She enjoys traveling with her recently retired husband, Thomas, who also graduated with FMCC's Class of '66. They traveled to Alaska this past June. Donna and Thomas have two children and three grandchildren. Donna belongs to the Alumni Advisory Committee.

Patricia M. Jessop '99  -  Pat started her college career later in life after obtaining her GED. She continued her education by earning a bachelor's in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. Currently, Pat works for the SUNY Research Foundation/OTDA as a Work Limitations Coordinator for Schoharie and Schenectady Counties. She enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren as well as fishing, paddle boating, and attending car shows. She is a member of the Galway Lioness Club and serves on boards for the YWCA and Compassionate Friends.

Eva Kercado '99

Diane Palmateer '83  -  Diane is currently the Secretary to the President of FMCC and co-secretary to the FMCC Board of Trustees. She has taken courses through Empire State College. In her free time, Diane's hobbies include photography, antiques, traveling, reading, and cooking. Diane has one daughter, Barbara, who is also a graduate of FMCC.

Diana Putnam '81  -  Diana earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Economics at SUNY Oswego and earned a master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Diana is the Director of Advisement, Counseling, & Testing at FMCC and also serves as an Adjunct Business Instructor. She and her husband, Al, have a son, Zackary. Diana serves on the Board of Directors for the Fulton County Federal Credit Union, is a member of the Broadalbin-Perth Sports Booster Club, and is committed to several other campus and community organizations.

Crystal Ricciuti '01 -  Crystal went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Public Policy and her master's in Public Administation from SUNY Albany. She currently works as Program Assistant for the Montgomery County Business Development Center. Crystal spends much of her free time helping her parents with their latest endeavor - Nunzio's Pizza & Deli at the Pink Store in Saratoga Springs, NY. 

Susanne Sammons '00  -  Sue is the Technical Assistant in FMCC’s Student Development Center. She has taken additional coursework in Supervision, Human Resource Management, and Accounting. Sue and her husband, Charlie, have two daughters, Lisa and Lorri. She also has a grandaughter, Nikki, who attends FMCC and a new grandson, Brandon Charles, born on January 17, 2006. Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as shopping, camping, and baking.

Kathleen Smith '91  -   Kathy is the Bursar of Fulton-Montgomery Community College. In 1994, she graduated from the Montgomery County Leadership Academy. Kathy and her husband, Richard, have two daughters, Kristine, a Special Education Teacher who started her education at FMCC, and Michele, a graduate of FMCC, who is a Special Therapist in the Guilderland School District. Michele gave birth to Kathy's first grandchild in April 2006.
