MU 102 Musical Theatre Practicum

SP 3 s.h.

An in-depth study of the musical score, lyrics, and book of a particular musical, resulting in its production. These activities involve sixty hours of class and rehearsal time and culminate with the performance of the show. This course may be repeated once for credit. Prerequisite: Admission by audition only. Hours of class per week: 3.
 
MU 111 College Chorus 1 s.h.
Study and performance of a variety of choral literature. The emphasis is on developing the student's ability to sing with a group. Special attention is paid to choral phrasing and interpretation. Each semester's work culminates in a campus performance by the Chorus. May be taken for credit for four semesters. No prior experience with choral singing is required. Hours of class per week: 2.
